Pine Fest NC is a weeklong celebration of life in the Longleaf Pines — a unique ecosystem that’s deeply rooted in the history, beauty, and community spirit of the Sandhills.

From outdoor adventures to live music, artisan markets to kid-run businesses, Pine Fest NC is a chance to come together and embrace everything we love about life here in North Carolina’s Pine Country.

Join guided hikes through the towering Longleaf Pines at Weymouth Woods Sandhills Nature Preserve. Learn about the forest’s history, wildlife, and conservation efforts. There will be a lot more events at Weymouth Woods added soon!

Slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with nature during guided forest bathing experiences.

🎶 Pine Fest NC Music Fest
Enjoy an incredible lineup of local and regional musicians on our outdoor stage. From bluegrass to folk, jazz to acoustic rock — there’s something for every music lover.

🌟 Piney Fest – Kids in Business-Partnering with the Southern Pines Land & Housing Trust Saturday, March 21, 2026 @ Southern Pines Land & Housing Trust (Formerly West Southern Pines Elementary School)
A special marketplace run entirely by kid entrepreneurs from our community! Shop creative products, support young dreamers, and be inspired by the next generation of leaders. There will be a talent show and more!

Why the Longleaf Pines?

The Longleaf Pine forest once covered 90 million acres across the Southeast. Today, only a fraction remains — and here in The Pines/Sandhills Region of NC we’re lucky to call it home. Pine Fest NC is both a celebration and a reminder of the importance of protecting this rare and beautiful habitat for generations to come.
