Join as Sunrise Theater presents a free outdoor concert from Abigail Dowd! The show takes place on Saturday, September 23rd beginning at 6:00pm on the Sunrise Stage and Lawn. Abigail is a beloved local artist who is known for her beautiful singing and storytelling.

Local sweetheart singer/songwriter Abigail Dowd grew up under the longleaf pines in the Sandhills region of North Carolina. Known for her storytelling and command of an audience, she has been called “a writer of the highest caliber” (The All Scene Eye). Her soulful voice and unique classical guitar style combined with the edgy bass of Jason Duff caught the attention of Acoustic Guitar Magazine, which described their album “Not What I Seem”: “The guitar-driven introspective folk of the 1970s [as] a touchstone, but so are blues and roots rock ’n’ roll.”

Also, Southern Pines Brewing Company will be debuting and pouring their Sunrise Theater Beer at the event so make sure you come down and try it out! If you get hungry, The Bell Tree will be there with their new food truck featuring a mix of foods found in the restaurant and some you can only find on the truck!
