SPPL Seed Library
June 30 @ 1:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 1:00 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, repeating until July 1, 2022

The Southern Pines Public Library Seed Library is a free program open to everyone. No library card is required to use this service. The mission is to support local gardeners and locally adapted plant varieties by sharing seeds and creating community connections and provide education to support local growing and seed-saving efforts. Seeds are arranged by type (vegetable, herb, flower) and then alphabetically by common name. Seeds are pre-divided in envelopes for ease of use and contain enough seeds for at least 3-5 plants for larger seeds and 10 or more for smaller seeds. Take only what you need for growing this season and try to return seeds saved from your harvest, although there is no requirement to return seeds. Fill out the Seed Borrowing Log with today’s date, type of seeds taken, and number of packets. When donating seeds, please complete a Seed Donation Form and provide as much information as possible for the seed labels.
