Presented by the Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen Area Convention and Visitors Bureau! The Pinecone Pathways Program is back and now an annual event! 100 glass-blown pinecones are hidden throughout the trail systems in Moore County. This special treasure hunt runs March 19th-April 22nd or when all the Pinecones have been found! These beautiful pinecones have once again been specially crafted by Starworks, a local non-profit and arts-centered work community that promotes community and economic development by providing outstanding artistic educational programs and business ventures. They have created these pieces exclusive to this program and the pinecones are not available for purchase. Look for list of each week’s trails via social media each Tuesday. Area retailers will sporadically receive updates and clues to hidden pinecone locations, so it is best to keep checking in on various social media outlets in Moore County or the site provided below.
