The Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina’s “Dance of the Harvest Moon” Powwow will be held on September 26th-28th at the Lumbee Tribe Cultural Center in Maxton. Everyone is invited to join the Lumbee Tribe this fall to celebrate Native culture, community and tradition. The event is one of the largest pow wows on the East Coast, and it welcomes some of the best drum groups and dancers from around the nation. The powwow offers something for everyone- whether you’re coming to participate, learn or simply enjoy. Admission is $15 for adults. A discounted rate of $10 is available for seniors (55 and older), military personnel with a valid ID and youth under 18. Children who are 5 and under get in for free.
