Judson Theatre Company presents the fourth annual Summer Theatre Festival! Join us for “I DO! I DO!” a melodious musical about marriage with book and lyrics by Tom Jones and music by Harvey Schmidt. Originally produced on Broadway by David Merrick and directed by Gower Champion, this beloved show takes the stage for ten performances only, July 11th–20th. “My Cup Runneth Over” with melody, laughter, and love! A touching story of two soulmates navigating the perils of life is set to a tuneful, charming score, including “My Cup Runneth Over” and the title song. The story spans 50 years as it focuses on the ups and downs experienced by Agnes and Michael throughout their marriage.

Based on Jan de Hartog’s play The Fourposter, I Do! I Do! features a book and lyrics by Tom Jones and music by Harvey Schmidt. Alongside The Fantasticks and 110 in the Shade, it’s one of their most successful collaborations. The original Broadway run starred Mary Martin and Robert Preston, opened in December 1966 at the 46th Street Theatre, and ran for 560 performances. It earned 7 Tony nominations, with Preston winning Best Leading Actor. “My Cup Runneth Over,” famously recorded by Ed Ames, became the show’s signature song.
