John Blue Cotton Festival

$5Come out for the 2023 John Blue Cotton Festival in Laurinburg on Saturday, October 12th | 9:00am-5:00pm! This annual festival takes place on the grounds of the historic John Blue home. A family-oriented, old-timey fair, this festival offers activities all ages. There will be tours available of the 1800s cabins, exhibits, a mule powered cotton gin, antique tractors, hit and miss engines, train rides, live entertainment, a museum, crafts, hayrides, pony rides, children’s games and many food options on site. Enjoy this stellar line up of events including what’s sure to be a musical marvel with the pioneers of beach music! Don’t forget to try out the collard sandwiches and homemade ice cream. Cost of admission is $5; children under five admitted for free.
Take part in the big Chili Cook Off or the Pumpkin Carving Contest. Bring your pumpkin to Shaw Cabin by 10am the day of the festival (you may bring them anytime Friday) and enter to win.
