The Moore County Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Sandhills Community College, invites local employers to a special Coffee Talk event on Friday, June 13th | 8am-10am at the Chamber located in Southern Pines. The talk will focus on the benefits of hiring individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). Attendees will gain practical insights, hear success stories and connect with workforce specialists while exploring how IDD-inclusive hiring can boost retention, morale, and productivity. The event features keynote speaker Kathryn Hubert—chef, restaurant owner, and disability integration coach, as well as a panel of self-advocates and highlights from the Sandhills Career Development Academy and the IDD Inclusive Employment Alliance.
