Discover the relaxing rhythm and creative joy of circular weaving! In this hands-on workshop on Wednesday, December 3rd from 5:00pm-8:00pm, artist Hillery Leebert will guide you through the process of creating your own beautiful woven piece using an 8” metal hoop that’s pre-wrapped and warped and ready for you to begin. You’ll jump right in and learn several foundational weaving techniques — including the Tabby Stitch, Soumak Stitch, Organic Knots, and Weaving with Roving — as you explore texture, pattern, and color with a variety of natural fibers. By the end of class, you’ll take home your very own finished circular weaving, ready to display!

All materials are provided, including: 8” metal hoop (pre-wrapped and warped). 8–10 lengths of assorted yarns and fibers — cotton, wool, linen, and more. Tapestry needle
