Arts Council: Friday Night Jazz “Part 2 A Southern Shade of Blue” at Sunrise Theater

The Arts Council of Moore County presents Friday Night Jazz at the Sunrise Theater! Join for a special, intimate new series of jazz at the Sunrise featuring the renowned vocalist, songwriter and genre-bending performer Carrie Marshall.
The CMQ will bring audiences on a jazzy ride from the Golden Era of Hollywood (Part 1: January 30th, 2026) to the jazzy blues, folk and soul of the 60s and 70s (Part 2: March 13th, 2026) into modern day pop classics with a twist (April 24th, 2026)
The series begins on January 30th, 2026, with Part 1: Hollywood Gold: A Tribute to the Golden Era of Film & Broadway, paying homage to the Golden Era where swing, glamour and silver-screen romance shaped the sound of a generation. Featuring beloved songs from classic films and Broadway musicals that became staples of the Great American songbook.
The journey continues on March 13th, 2026, with Part 2: A Southern Shade of Blue, which explores the soulful intersection of blues, folk, and jazz from the 60s and 70s.
The series concludes on April 24th, 2026, with Part 3: A Twist of Jazz, showcasing modern pop classics reimagined through a sophisticated jazz lens.
