Arts Council of Moore County: “Artist Talk & Demonstration” Combat Paper® Workshops at BHAWK

The Arts Council of Moore County presents Combat Paper® Workshops, facilitated by artist and Iraq War veteran Drew Cameron. These workshops invite veterans, active-duty soldiers, reservists, their families, and community members to transform military uniforms into paper and artwork—using creativity to inspire healing, resilience, and understanding. The workshops will be held at BHAWK-Nelms Rickhouse (175 Yadkin Rd, Southern Pines) from November 13th-16th.
Thursday, November 13th: COMBAT PAPER® transforms military uniforms into handmade paper. Come meet Veteran Drew Cameron as he explains the paper making process from military uniforms. He believes in this simple yet enduring premise that the plant fiber in rags can be transformed into paper.
